The railway station in Granada is situated at the end of the historic sector of Avenida de Andaluces. This area is approximately 1.5 kilometers from the city centre. Trains serving the station are not high speed but arrive on schedule. The station is served by regional and long distance trains. From Madrid, the Talgo train riding time takes roughly 6 hours. From Seville, the same train takes about 4 hours riding time. Other key places that can be reached by the train system are Almeria via Guadix, Ronda, Antequera, Cordoba, Almeria, Malaga and Algeciras. The station is well served by buses, but cheap car hire at the Granada Rail Station is also an option.
