Originally constructed as a base for military aircraft following the close of WWII, the Sandefjord Airport (TRF) has grown to become one of the busiest passenger airports in Scandinavia. Located close to the town of Sandefjord, the airport connects international and domestic travellers to the delightful attractions of Eastern Norway, which can be most efficiently experienced via cheap car hire at Sandefjord Airpot (TRF).

The airport has undergone recent expansions to cope with the influx of passengers, and will continue these into the future. Currently, over 30 flights take off and land daily, yet the tarmac can only accommodate 11 airplanes at any one time. The terminal is a one building facility with 13 check-in counters and a number of automated check-in machines available.

Serving more than 1.5 million people each year, the Sandefjord Airport (TRF) predominantly operates the no frills, budget airlines of Ryanair, Coastair, Wideroe and KLM. Although moderately sized, over 20 European and five Norwegian destinations connect to Sandefjord Airport (TRF). Passengers from around the globe can easily fly to Sandefjord, with a stopover transfer at Paris, London, Rome, or Frankfurt.

Warm and friendly staff are on hand to assist passengers with enquiries or special needs.
