Gerona airport, or Girona airport is 12kms south of the city of Gerona by car rental and is an important access point for the beaches of Costa Brava, the Pyrenees and Barcelona. Gerona is a historic, walled city in north east Spain near the French border. Gerona Airport is primarily a hub for budget airlines, but also has regular and charter flights arriving and departing.
